Software QA Functional Tester

Job Overview:

As a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Functional Tester, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products. This involves collaborating closely with the QA team to analyze and interpret requirements, derive relevant test scenarios, and execute comprehensive test cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze provided requirements and specifications.
  • Define an appropriate test plan and test strategy.
  • Plan, estimate, and prioritize testing activities.
  • Create comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive proof of tests.
  • Accurately identify, record, and document defects.
  • Track reported defects and collaborate with the engineering and product teams.
  • Perform UI, sanity, functional, regression, component, and end-to-end testing.
  • Provide accurate status reports for all testing activities.

Requirements and Qualifications:

For this role, we require a candidate with 5+ years of experience in Software Testing. You must have proven experience in using Azure DevOps for managing test plans, executing tests, and generating test reports. Additionally, you should have strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

Additional Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience in: Requirements analysis, Test planning, Test case detailing, and Defect tracking.
  • Strong experience in defect reporting, tracking, and management.
  • Experience working with database operations and API calls.
  • Able to quickly learn custom development frameworks and new technologies.
  • Able to work effectively under minimum supervision and adapt to continuous change requirements and short deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.

  • Work within a dedicated schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Manila Time).
  • Be available for scheduled and ad-hoc calls, meetings, and chats during weekday working hours.
  • Have access to a quiet, professional workspace suitable for video meetings and calls.
  • Use dual monitors (preferred but not required, if available).
  • Be available to start immediately.
  • Acknowledge that all work and outputs will be covered by a standard Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement, as well as an Intellectual Property Assignment Agreement, to protect both company and client information.
