Accounting Specialist Role

As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a key role in reviewing and preparing financial transactions. This involves ensuring conformity with accounting standards, company policies, business rules, and procedures.

  • Review and prepare journal entries for assigned GL accounts.
  • Perform regular substantiation, reconciliation, and analysis of assigned GL accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Complete month-end and year-end tasks according to established due dates.
  • Participate in the completion of monthly report packages and circulate reports to internal users.
  • Obtain and provide information on financial transactions to respond to inquiries and aid financial reporting.
Responsibilities Continued
  • Review and process payable transactions to ensure authorization, proper approval, and conformity with company policies.
  • Apply required taxes and recognize them in the financial records.
  • Interact with Procurement, Officers, and Employees to address issues or concerns regarding financial transactions.
  • Perform reconciliation and analysis of vendors', employees', related parties', and third parties' accounts to ensure liabilities are paid on due dates.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain cash management functions, including periodic bank reconciliations and short-term cash projections.
  • Ensure all tax filings are prepared and filed, and regulatory filings are made.
  • Keep documents and records organized and secure.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
  • License: Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Experience: At least 1 year of accounting experience.
