We're looking for someone who can lead engineering teams not just through plans and processes, but by setting high standards, clearing roadblocks, and enabling engineers to do their best work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Execution & Delivery:
    • Lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and technical prioritization to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
    • Drive consistency across multiple engineering squads, focusing on quality and reliability.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate strategic goals into executable engineering work.
    • Identify and resolve architectural or technical debt issues.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Create an environment where engineers can excel, with clear goals, performance expectations, and timely feedback.
    • Set the stage for growth and capability development through collaboration with technical leads or mentors.
  • Process & Quality Improvements:
    • Implement and refine lightweight processes that enhance velocity, quality, and reliability.
    • Champion code quality, test automation, observability, and security best practices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner closely with Product, Design, and Customer Success to ensure customer needs are met and technical implications are understood.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in leadership roles.
  • Strong technical background in modern web development (e.g., Python, Node.js, Golang, React).
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, observability, IaC).
  • Experience working in high-velocity teams that ship iteratively while maintaining high standards.
  • Clear communicator with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
