Accounting Specialist RoleJob Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled accounting specialist to oversee financial operations related to credit card transactions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing credit card payments, maintaining financial records, and providing insights for cost-saving opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Credit Card Management:
    • Monitor and record credit card transactions, ensuring proper categorization
    • Reconcile credit card statements with accounting records to identify and resolve discrepancies
    • Manage credit card payment schedules to avoid late fees and maintain company credit health
  • Financial Record Maintenance:
    • Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
    • Record daily transactions in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero
    • Assist in preparing financial statements, including profit and loss reports and balance sheets
  • Expense Tracking:
    • Track and validate employee credit card usage, ensuring adherence to company policies
    • Organize and maintain receipts and documentation for all credit card expenses
    • Analyze spending patterns to provide insights for cost-saving opportunities
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance:
    • Generate reports detailing credit card expenses and transactions for management review
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards
  • Other Duties:
    • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
    • Support audits by providing detailed credit card transaction records and reconciliations
    Requirements:
    • Accounting experience, preferably with credit card transaction management
    • Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks and Xero
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Excellent problem-solving and reconciliation abilities
    • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards
