POSITION SUMMARY:

The Deputy Chief Accountant plays a pivotal role in the financial management and reporting of the organization. S/He is responsible for assisting the Chief Accountant in overseeing all aspects of the accounting function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. Also, s/he assists the CA in providing strategic guidance to the finance team, implements financial policies and procedures, and collaborates with various departments to support organizational goals.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Has thorough understanding of accounting principles and standards, with hands-on experience in financial reporting and analysis
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
