IT Security Director

The IT Security Director is responsible for overseeing the company's security infrastructure, ensuring the protection of computer networks, systems, and information assets in alignment with security standards. This role involves implementing and managing defense-in-depth security applications and documenting any security incidents or breaches identified.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT security, with experience in managing teams and implementing security protocols. They should be able to analyze network systems and structures to ensure the most secure approach is being employed, and must be able to research emerging threats and safeguards.

Responsibilities:

  • Security Management: Ensuring security updates are current across all systems; analyzing network systems and structures to ensure the most secure approach is being employed; ensuring security tools are running properly on company networks and devices;
  • Team Leadership: Managing the IT Security Team to ensure officers meet job expectations; coordinating with the CISO on security matters and with the CTO/CIO for implementation;
  • Research and Development: Researching emerging threats and safeguards; developing systems for specialized security requirements based on specific company needs;
  • Communication: Presenting findings, reports, and solutions to upper management;

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of BS Computer Science, BS Computer Engineering, IT, or any related field;
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT Security as a Team Lead and Manager; in-depth understanding of perimeter security, network security, endpoint security, application security, data security, security incident and event management, and disaster recovery;
  • Certification: Information security-related certification is a plus (e.g., ITIL, GCP Security, CCSP);
  • Work Setup: Hybrid work setup with remote work most of the month and in-person collaboration at the headquarters;
  • Seniority level: Mid-Senior level;
