Job Title: Land Title Researcher

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to complete various title tasks in an efficient manner and furnish a correct final deliverable.

Responsibilities:
  • Research vesting title, surface title, or mineral title using online resources.
  • Communicate with field agents regarding needed research to cover gaps.
  • Examine documents provided by field agents.
  • Enter required data to generate necessary reports using CityVerse or client-provided programs.
  • Prepare flowcharts, plats & deed plots.
  • Review other agents' work and make corrections when required.
  • Prepare final deliverable to be sent to the client.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in history, political science, research, or a related field.
  • Strong background in conducting extensive research and attention to detail.
  • Sufficient knowledge to access online records and review documents to complete a chain of titles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat Pro for creating and organizing ownership timelines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaborate fully as a team player.
  • Attention to details, planning, organization, and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with U.S.-based companies, particularly in the oil and gas industry.
  • Background in working as a title agent or land title researcher.
