Position Title

The ideal candidate for this Senior Database Administrator role will have a deep understanding of SQL Server and extensive experience in database administration.

About the Role
  • Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining SQL Server instances and databases in various environments.
  • Developing and maintaining backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans to ensure data security and integrity.
  • Planning and executing database migrations, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning to optimize database performance.
  • Monitoring database health and performance to identify areas for improvement.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements by leveraging technical expertise and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with project managers, application developers, systems/data engineers, and other IT professionals to design and implement solutions that integrate with databases.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
  • Provide daily management, support, and troubleshooting of all databases in the landscape to ensure service availability.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in database administration of SQL Server database environments.
  • Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and above.
  • Familiarity with relational databases, T-SQL scripting, best practices, database technologies, and concepts.
