Learning Experience Designer

Create engaging and effective learning activities and compelling course content in cooperation with subject matter experts.

  • Apply best practices in learning technologies and instructional design
  • Work with subject matter experts to identify required learning outcomes and target learner populations.
  • Identify the most appropriate and effective delivery mechanisms (e-learning, virtual classroom, face-to-face etc.)
  • Set instructional end goals and create content that matches them
  • For e-learning visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
  • Provide learner interactivity (exercises, activities etc.) that enhance the learning process and learner experience
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.)
  • Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course and attainment of knowledge and other specified learner outcomes.
  • Identify poor quality and/or outdated learning content and offer recommendations for improvement or replacement.
  • Ensure the alignment of new content implementation as required. Including identification prerequisites and related/interdependent courses as defined by curriculum requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality training programs and materials
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accurate and relevant content
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in learning and development
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
Qualifications
  • BA or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar relevant field
  • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Working knowledge of multiple web design technologies and multi-media formats
  • Visual design skills
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts
  • Certification in Instructional Design (preferred)
