Financial Planning Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our team. As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for performing various accounting-related tasks.
Main Responsibilities:- Prepare tax returns, including personal and business tax returns.
- Contact clients for information or documents required to complete returns.
- Conduct independent research of all necessary laws prior to submitting a return to the reviewer.
- Provide reviewer with a complete and accurate return to avoid open items.
- Prepare tax projections and planning tasks for clients, including determining tax liability, salary requirements, payroll liabilities, and estimated payments.
- Handle correspondences with IRS and state agencies, perform payment plan paperwork, prepare Powers of Attorney, S Election, SS-4, and State registrations.
- Perform external bookkeeping, adjust balance sheet after-tax returns completed, handle year-end adjustments, provide QuickBooks support, collect tax return information for tax preparer, and review monthly and quarterly bookkeeping.
- Adhere to all firms' policies and procedures, work within established parameters, enter time in practice daily, and meet with tax manager to review progress and priorities.
