Job Title: Collections Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Collections Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our collections department, you will be responsible for managing customer relationships and resolving any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contact customers by telephone and email to determine the reason for overdue payments and resolve any disputes.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide information on disputes to internal parties and work closely with the sales team to resolve any issues.
  • Identify potential bad debts within customer portfolios and escalate them to management as necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance.
  • 6 months to 1 year experience in billing and claims in a business-to-business collections environment.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP AR preferred.
  • Proficiency in basic accounting principles, including debits and credits, and the basic accounting equation.
