Accounting Manager Job Description

Job Description:

This role oversees the financial management and control of a company's business. It involves strategic guidance, policy development, and ensuring sound financial practices.

  • Manage Monthly Closings: Oversee monthly closings, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Review Trial Balances: Review and approve trial balances to ensure accuracy and proper reconciliations.
  • Conduct Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis between actual results and budgets/forecasts, identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA): Be certified as a Public Accountant.
  • Managerial Experience: Have held a managerial role for at least 3 years.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Be knowledgeable in SEC, BIR, and other local government compliance, regulations, and requirements.
  • Regulatory Rules: Have knowledge of regulatory rules and general compliance in financial institutions is an advantage.
