JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Operations Specialist to lead and optimize the financial processes related to timesheet management, invoicing, SOW tracking, and payroll support. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of consulting business operations, billing models, and client engagement workflows. This role requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and a continuous improvement mindset to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across financial operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the collection and validation of consultants' timesheets, ensuring compliance with client-specific requirements (e.g., ROAR screenshots, hourly activity logs).
  • Manage and monitor Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring completeness and accuracy of consultant details, contract terms, and billing rates.
  • Maintain a centralized repository of approved SOWs and ensure timely updates.
  • Generate and distribute regular reports to Sales and Delivery teams regarding contract renewals, supporting proactive resource planning and client engagement.
  • Lead month-end invoicing processes, ensuring all billable hours and reimbursements are accurately captured, validated, and invoiced on time.
  • Collaborate closely with delivery teams, consultants, and finance to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Support payroll processing and employee reimbursements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and financial accuracy.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on financial data and trends.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years of experience in financial operations, billing, payroll, or related roles, preferably within a consulting firm
  • Strong understanding of consulting business operations, including resource management, client billing, and contract lifecycle
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial tools; experience with ERP or time sheet systems is a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience in process improvement and automation is highly desirable
