Job Summary:

Senior Data Analyst

We are seeking a seasoned data analyst to support our teams with insights gained from analyzing company data.

The ideal candidate will be adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for sales and process optimization, and utilizing their analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets to develop data-driven solutions to drive growth and efficiency.

  • Process, cleanse, and validate the integrity of data to be used for analysis
  • Assess quality of data and remove or clean data needed for analysis
  • Interpret and analyze data using exploratory mathematical and statistical techniques based on the scientific method
  • Experiment against data points, provide information based on experiment results, and provide previously undiscovered solutions to command data challenges
  • Lead all data experiments, monitor, and report
  • Analyze problems and determine root causes
  • Build machine learning algorithms, use tools to select features, create, and optimize classifiers
  • Coordinate research and analytic activities using various data points (unstructured and structured) and employ programming to clean, massage, and organize the data
  • Propose solutions and strategies to tackle business challenges, drive growth, and efficiency
  • Create visualizations of data for reports to management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in operations research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields; Master's degree in related fields would be given preference
  • 6+ years of professional experience
  • Demonstrated experience applying data science methods to real-world data problems; strong mathematical and numeracy skills
  • Knowledge of reporting and visualization tools such as Business Objects, Power BI, and Tableau
  • Programming skills - knowledge of statistical programming languages like R, Python, and database query languages like SQL
  • Machine Learning - Advanced knowledge of machine learning methods but not limited to these
