About Compliance Expert Role

The Compliance Expert will play a key role in safeguarding operations through the execution of Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) controls.

This role requires someone diligent, analytical, and comfortable working with data to ensure AML/CTF regulations are met globally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform ongoing name screening of customers, beneficial owners, and related parties against sanctions, Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), and adverse media lists.
  • Review and disposition screening alerts, escalating potential matches to senior compliance staff when necessary.
  • Perform customer due diligence reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and escalate potential concerns related to sanctions, PEPs, adverse media, or suspicious activities.
  • Maintain proper records and documentation of reviews and decisions for audit and regulatory purposes.

A strong understanding of AML/CTF regulations is required, particularly in Asia Pacific markets.

Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience in a compliance, AML, or risk role, preferably in financial services, payments, or fintech.
  • Strong analytical skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and responsibility, with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Able to work independently in a remote environment.
