Job Summary:
The Remote Clinical Support Specialist will provide direct assistance to the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations for home care services. This role is responsible for supporting documentation, compliance, scheduling, and care coordination to ensure the program runs efficiently and aligns with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical & Administrative Support
- Review and assist in maintaining patient care plans, MARs, and physician orders to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Follow up with physicians for signed orders and ensure proper transcription into patient records.
- Support the Director in tracking missed or overdue nursing visits and help coordinate completion.
- Assist with client admissions and discharges by preparing and verifying required documentation.
- Generate and maintain compliance reports and assist with audit readiness.
- Monitor and help manage scheduling workflows to ensure PDN visits are aligned with care plans.
- Serve as a remote liaison between nurses, patients, families, and providers to streamline communication.
- Track staffing assignments and availability to support the Director in resource allocation.
- Ensure staff credentialing (licenses, CPR, TB, etc.) are tracked and up-to-date.
- Support quality improvement initiatives by compiling reports and identifying documentation gaps.
- Assist in reviewing clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with state/federal regulations.
- Provide feedback to field nurses (under supervision of the Director) on documentation corrections or updates.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or higher (RN preferred).
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field strongly preferred.
- 2+ years of clinical experience in home health, PDN, or related nursing environment.
- Prior experience in administrative or clinical support roles preferred.
