Lead AI Engineer for Clinical Operating System

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead AI Engineer to join our team and lead the development of our clinical operating system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, AI, and machine learning, with experience building production applications powered by large language models (LLMs).

The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting our AI-first future, owning the entire AI strategy across our ClinicOS platform, and transforming how millions access healthcare through intelligent automation.

You will work directly with our Head of Engineering, CEO, and the rest of the AI engineering team to build AI systems that deliver world-class healthcare at software scale.

This is a full-time, fully remote role that requires someone who can ship production AI while keeping it simple, reliable, and actually useful.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and lead our AI systems across the entire company.
  • Ship production AI while keeping it simple, reliable, and actually useful.
  • Work across clinical, growth, and operations teams to identify opportunities for AI adoption.
  • Drive AI adoption across our clinical operating system.
  • Automate manual processes and create AI assistants that make our clinical team more effective.
Requirements

Experience:

  • 6+ years of highly relevant experience in software engineering with a focus on AI and machine learning.
  • Strong experience building production applications powered by LLMs.

Skills:

  • Strong programming skills using TypeScript and/or Python.
  • Experience designing and building modern, customer-facing APIs.
  • Comfortable building user-friendly interfaces using React or similar frameworks.

Leadership:

  • Have experience leading engineering team members.
