Hedge fund administration is a highly specialized field that requires expertise in accounting, finance, and compliance. In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for assigned fund accounting groups.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial instruments, documentation review, and ad hoc client requests. You will be expected to efficiently manage multiple client relationships, participate in new client meetings, and demonstrate HedgeServ software.

You will also be responsible for the preparation and review of financial and regulatory reports, ensuring the assigned private equity accounting group operates within a clearly defined control environment. Additionally, you will participate in the continuous development and enhancement of work flows and procedures to reflect the changing control environment.

A minimum of 7 years' experience working in a hedge fund administration firm with at least 5 of those at manager level is desired. Alternative hedge fund experience may be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for assigned fund accounting groups
  • Manage multiple client relationships
  • Participate in new client meetings and demonstrate HedgeServ software
  • Prepare and review financial and regulatory reports
  • Ensure the assigned private equity accounting group operates within a clearly defined control environment
  • Develop and maintain relationships between HedgeServ and client brokers, auditors, and legal counsel
Requirements:
  • Accounting, finance, or business degree
  • Intention to actively pursue a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good people management skills with the ability to coach and develop a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to be flexible and work effectively within a team structure or independently
