Job Overview

A remote accounting professional is required to manage the Accounts Receivable function for a commercial real estate investment firm.

The ideal candidate will have experience in full-time accounting and possess a CPA license, with 2-4 years of relevant experience. A broad-based knowledge of commercial property accounting is an asset.

  • Prepare and send tenant statements, process and post receipts, prepare billback to tenants, and update the rent roll due to change in unit size or number.
  • Follow up and work with asset and property managers to collect delinquent accounts.
  • Conduct accounting processes related to property acquisition/disposition.
  • Prepare sales tax forms and submit payment for processing.
  • Complete other projects and tasks assigned by accounting management.
Key Qualifications
  • Accounting degree required.
  • Must have graduated with Latin honors (cum laude or better).
  • CPA license required.
  • 2-4 years of full-time accounting experience.
  • Broad based accounting for real estate experience a plus.
  • Solid organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of the organization and externally with tenants and other outside parties.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess strong work ethic.
  • Must be a team player.
