About the Role

As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting the legal team. Your responsibilities will include drafting pleadings and other documents, reviewing court rules and applying them to assignments, analyzing and synthesizing documents, organizing and maintaining the litigation calendar, scheduling client meetings, hearings, and deadlines, screening calls, taking messages, and informing attorneys of urgent messages.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting legal pleadings and other documents
  • Reviewing court rules and applying them to assignments
  • Analyzing and synthesizing documents
  • Organizing and maintaining the litigation calendar
  • Scheduling client meetings, hearings, and deadlines
  • Screening calls, taking messages, and informing attorneys of urgent messages
  • Assembling, organizing, preparing, proofreading, and editing documents
  • Profiling documents to document management system
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm setting is required
  • Multijurisdictional federal litigation experience, such as with USDC and USCA, is required
  • Strong knowledge of case management throughout all stages of litigation, including court rules, practices, and procedures, is required
  • Familiarity with ECF/Pacer and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and other web-based applications is required
Preferred Skills/Expertise:
  • Paralegal certificate is preferred
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents. Familiar with ECF/Pacer
  • Strong writing skills, including the ability to draft pleadings and other legal documents
  • Working knowledge of the discovery process
  • Expert in analyzing and synthesizing information to build a case
  • Proficient at scheduling, docketing, and court e-filing
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
