About the Role

The Retail Product Engineer is responsible for ensuring technical compliance and quality of products throughout their lifecycle. This includes leading product design and development efforts, conducting testing and validation, ensuring supplier compliance, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

This role involves supporting product training and sourcing new materials with the R&D team. The Retail Product Engineer will create detailed product designs, prototypes, and comprehensive testing plans, collaborating with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness of product designs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the design and development of new products from concept to production
  • Conducting research and analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive products
  • Leveraging industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product engineering to drive product development strategies
  • Liaising with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with product requirements and specifications
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 1-3 years experience in vehicle and/or aircon maintenance, or a similar technical role
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and requirements
  • Ability to work flexibly and travel when required
