Technical Support Specialist

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the technical and scientific support to internal and external customers. They will ensure effective utilization of bioMérieux solutions in clinical laboratories and healthcare institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical training and support on bioMérieux solutions
  • Answer customer inquiries and concerns
  • Coordinate instrument installations and evaluations
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and meet KPIs
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to strengthen customer relationship and develop/retain business
  • Maintain and update knowledge base to meet customer and company requirements
  • Perform troubleshooting and investigation of level 1 technical complaints
  • Record all customer inquiries, troubleshooting/investigation, service activities and installed base updates in CRM
  • Support communication of product and system updates to customers
  • Implement field actions in respective territory
  • Provide recommendations regarding system utilization to optimize the workflow
  • Promote bioMérieux solutions through product demonstration, evaluations and onsite visits
  • Enable customers in fully utilizing the technical potential of the solutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Medical Technology, Microbioloy, Molecular Biology or equivalent
  • At least 5 years' experience in clinical laboratory preferably in Microbiology and/or Molecular Biology sections
  • Knowledge of bioMérieux reagents, instruments and customers, and good knowledge of the scientific/medical environment of the products is highly advantageous
  • Knowledge of competitors and their products
  • Flexible, adaptable and keen to learn
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective communication – able to teach/present to scientific community
  • Good time management, results oriented and customer focused
  • Willing to travel 70% locally
