Job Title: Process Engineering Specialist

As a key member of our manufacturing team, the Process Engineering Specialist plays a critical role in developing and implementing efficient production processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and document procedures to optimize product manufacturing, eliminating causes of poor processes, scrap, and rework that result in production delays.
  • Drive improvements in productivity and scrap reduction, and control.
  • Collaborate with line supervision and management to establish cost reduction methods for manufacturing procedures.
  • Design operational process sheets in detail to enable operators to repeat operations successfully.
  • Analyze yield and performance data to identify areas for improvement, develop, and recommend enhanced methods and procedures.
  • Recommend, select, and procure machinery, tools, jigs, and fixtures required for product manufacture.
  • Assess production methods and techniques for potential upgrades to leverage modern machinery and ergonomic techniques, ensuring product quality while minimizing costs.
  • Measure productivity by analyzing run rates and identifying issues affecting manufacturing cycle time and scrap.
  • Operate and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in high-volume electromechanical components.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and developing semi-automated and automated assembly lines, including equipment and fixtures.
  • Strong knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other process engineering disciplines, including Control Plan, DFMEA, PFMEA, and labor standards.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with R&D, manufacturing facilities, customers, and suppliers.
  • Project management skills, including budget and resource allocation.
  • Coaching and problem-solving abilities to achieve quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
  • Prior knowledge and experience in assembly and test processes for semiconductor or electronics manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in SAP and MS Excel is a plus.
