Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist

This role involves overseeing financial records, tax preparation, and providing expert advice on financial compliance. It's a critical position in any organization that requires meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills.


About the Role:

The Financial Operations Specialist will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This person will work closely with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions to meet those needs.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Transactions Management:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple clients, including accounts payable and receivable
    • Record daily financial transactions and reconcile bank statements
    • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, including profit and loss reports and balance sheets
  • Tax Preparation and Compliance:
    • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and small businesses
    • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and deadlines
    • Advise clients on tax-saving strategies and financial planning to minimize tax liabilities
  • Client Consultation:
    • Communicate effectively with clients regarding their financial situation and tax obligations
    • Address client inquiries and provide solutions related to tax and bookkeeping issues

Requirements:
  • Bookkeeping experience, with a strong focus on tax preparation and compliance
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar
  • Knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with clients in a friendly and professional manner
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred but not required
