Industrial Service Technician Job Description

The Industrial Service Technician is a critical role in maintaining the optimal operating performance of power plant condensers and heat exchangers. This position requires individuals to efficiently remove deposits from these equipment, ensuring their efficient functioning.

As an Industrial Service Technician, you will be responsible for mobilizing at short notice to travel and perform work in various facilities across the country. Our company provides airfare, lodging, and daily per diem to support your travel needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Manually clean condenser and heat exchange tubes using water pump systems and assorted tube cleaners.
  • Monitor pressure gauges to identify changes in pressure from water pump systems.
  • Perform tasks that involve frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching in various work environments.
  • Inventory trailers to ensure job readiness after each task.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on all service equipment.
  • Set up support equipment as needed, including generators and compressors.
  • Adhere to safety protocols outlined in our Employee's Responsibilities section.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools.
  • Able to travel nationwide with short notice.
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment on the job site.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods (8+ hours per day).

  • Climbing ladders, scaffolding, or working at heights as needed.
Work Environment:

The work environment involves remote or industrial locations, such as oil rigs, refineries, or industrial plants. Employees may be exposed to loud noise, heavy machinery, and hazardous materials. Rotational schedules and extended shifts are common.
