Global Development Correspondent

We are seeking a skilled journalist to cover the inside story of the global development industry. As our ideal candidate, you will have a strong passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of the complexities involved in this field.

This role requires a beat reporter with a proven track record of breaking stories and delivering original reporting. You should have a network of contacts or the drive to build one quickly, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to engage directly with readers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write exclusive stories and news pieces that help our audience understand what's happening in the global development industry.
  • Present ideas at weekly editorial meetings and contribute to panels and webinars.
  • Collaborate with other reporters, production teams, and social media engagement teams to create engaging content.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a beat reporter with a strong track record of breaking stories and delivering original reporting.
  • A network of contacts or the drive to build one quickly.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage directly with readers.
  • Native level of English with excellent written English.
  • A bachelor's degree.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Familiarity with business and finance reporting.
  • Experience working at a well-respected media organization.
  • Comfortable moderating panels and webinars.
