Our company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Accountant.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with Australian tax regulations. This role involves providing expert advice on taxation, accounting standards, and financial planning to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Lodge BAS, IAS, and GST reports in compliance with ATO regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of income tax returns for businesses and individuals.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian tax laws and accounting standards (AASB, IFRS).

Furthermore, the successful candidate will be expected to improve financial processes and internal controls for efficiency, and liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and external stakeholders as required.

Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Australian accounting experience.
Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws, BAS/GST, and ATO compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Outlook, and Excel) is a must.
