Job Overview:

The role of Medical Allied Non Clinical support involves working collaboratively with the clinical team to manage requests for services from members and/or providers.

This includes managing intake, referrals, and case notifications while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage member intake, admission, and discharge information
  • Coordinate member requests with hospitals, clinics, and facilities
  • Process incoming and outgoing referrals, prior authorizations, and census roles
  • Provide triage and care coordination notification cases for non-clinical assessment/intervention
  • Handle member inquiries and resolve issues

This is a high-volume customer service environment that requires efficiency, productivity, and thoroughness when interacting with members over the phone. A flexible schedule including evening hours is required.

Required Skills:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of customer service experience with problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Able to type and talk simultaneously while navigating multiple screens
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly with health insurance
  • Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes
  • Clerical or administrative support background
