DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts clinical pathology tests and examinations.
  • Performs chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic analyses to support disease diagnosis and treatment.
  • Processes test requests from physicians and ensures accurate execution.
  • Prepares and calibrates laboratory equipment and tools.
  • Collects specimens (urine, blood, sputum) following standard procedures.
  • Adheres to established protocols for laboratory work.
  • Records and prepares test results accurately.
  • Labels, stores, and organizes specimens for research or reference.
  • Calculates and updates patient charges for laboratory services.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum Education/Experience:

  • Degree in Medical Technology.
  • Licensed Medical Technologist.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in numerical calculations for test results.
  • Attention to detail for specimen analysis and microscopic study.
  • Ability to differentiate colors for staining and specimen identification.
  • Strong interest in scientific and technical activities.
  • Familiarity with standardized testing protocols and techniques.
  • Sound judgment to evaluate results against set criteria.
  • Precision and accuracy in performing laboratory procedures.
