Job Overview
As an Operations Manager, you will lead and manage a Network Planning Team to oversee project resourcing, team performance, and budget management. You will drive strategic initiatives that improve efficiency and align with company goals. This role is both operational and people-focused, requiring someone who can lead through influence, coach and mentor leaders, and ensure the delivery of high-quality design outputs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage 3–6 Design Team Leads of varying seniority levels.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members while managing onboarding and continuous training programs.
  • Conduct performance assessments, provide regular feedback, and take appropriate performance management actions.
  • Manage workload distribution and ensure quality outputs for all stakeholder projects.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture across dispersed geographies.
Operational Management & Leadership

You will be responsible for establishing and overseeing project resourcing processes to ensure projects are adequately staffed. You will assign tasks based on team members' strengths and expertise. You will build business cases for team growth, run recruitment activities, and oversee effective onboarding. Ensure compliance with quality standards and implement quality control measures.

Financial Management

You will partner with Finance and Senior Leadership to forecast annual budgets, including promotions, new hires, events, and travel. You will ensure the Network Planning Team operates within approved budgets and proactively manage expenses.

What We Are Looking For
  • At least 5 years of Operations Management experience.
  • Understanding of Telecommunications FTTx network design and engineering.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to thrive in collaborative environments, working across departments to align goals and deliver results.
  • Analytical and data-driven, capable of identifying trends and making informed decisions.
  • Management of workforce challenges related to scheduling, development, and performance.
  • Highly organized, able to juggle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in workforce management software and relevant technologies.
  • Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
  • Proven experience in workforce management and leadership roles, particularly in managing dispersed teams.
