Senior Project Planning Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Project Planning Specialist to lead scheduling efforts, develop baseline programs, and conduct in-depth progress tracking and delay analysis across Oil & Gas / Energy / Industrial Projects scopes.

The successful candidate will have strong expertise in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. They will be able to identify critical paths, risks, and opportunities, and advise on resolutions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing detailed schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • Conducting forensic schedule analysis to identify causes of delay and disruption
  • Preparing and submitting EOT (Extension of Time) claims and mitigation plans
  • Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to track progress
  • Producing detailed reports, S-curves, and look-ahead schedules
  • Ensuring all planning documentation aligns with project scope and contract requirements

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
  • 7–10+ years' experience in senior project planning/scheduling within oil & gas, energy, or industrial sectors
  • Advanced expertise in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • Strong knowledge of project management frameworks and construction methodologies
  • Proven background in forensic scheduling, EOT claims, and schedule risk mitigation
  • High proficiency in both written and spoken English
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
