Accounting Role Overview

This is a remote accounting role that involves working from home. You will be part of a team that contributes to the financial health of the business.

Your responsibilities will include preparing and recording journal entries, reconciling bank accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures. You will also help prepare financial statements and supporting documentation, and support internal and external audits.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You will also need to have proficiency in Excel and experience with QuickBooks or similar software.

You will be working independently but as part of a remote-first team that values accuracy, transparency, and a strong sense of ownership. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, organized, and able to manage their time effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and record journal entries and general ledger transactions
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Help prepare financial statements and supporting documentation
  • Support internal and external audits
Requirements
  • 1 to 3 years of accounting experience (internships welcome)
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and accurate with numbers
  • Understanding of GAAP and accounting workflows
  • Proficient in Excel (XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas)
  • Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar software
  • Professional English communication (written and verbal)
