Accounting Specialist Job

This role is perfect for detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working with numbers and want to contribute to the financial health of a business. As an accounting specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and recording journal entries, reconciling bank accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

You will work closely with the leadership team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and clarity in financial records. Your expertise in GAAP and accounting workflows will be invaluable in maintaining well-organized and accurate financial records.

We are looking for someone with 1 to 3 years of accounting experience, including internships. You should be proficient in Excel and have experience with QuickBooks or similar software. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role.

  • Prepare and record journal entries and general ledger transactions
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Help prepare financial statements and supporting documentation
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Perform variance analysis and explain key fluctuations
