Bookkeeping Specialist

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and tech-savvy professional to join our finance team as a Bookkeeping Specialist. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, streamlining transaction processing, and supporting automation initiatives.

The ideal candidate is adaptable, comfortable wearing many hats in a fast-paced environment, and has experience in retail bookkeeping. You must be able to jump in, lighten the team's load, and make a meaningful impact through operational excellence and innovation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Record and categorize daily financial transactions accurately.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice entry, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date general ledger.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts regularly, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Provide retail accounting support, including inventory tracking, cost-of-goods-sold allocations, and POS system integration.
  • Utilize Bill.com to process and manage vendor payments efficiently and support payroll administration.
  • Assist with reporting and financial analysis tasks, including generating financial statements and identifying trends for cost optimization or revenue improvement.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to support forecasting and budgeting efforts.
  • Contribute to technology and automation initiatives, including automating workflows using QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, or other integrated tools.
