Financial Operations Specialist

A dynamic and resourceful financial professional is needed to support fast-growing businesses in the jewelry retail industry. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, streamlining transaction processing, and supporting key automation initiatives using QuickBooks Online (QBO) and other financial tools.

The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable wearing many hats in a fast-paced environment. Experience in retail bookkeeping is preferred, and you must be ready to jump in, lighten the team's load, and make a meaningful impact through operational excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records and categorize daily transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice entry, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain an organized general ledger and reconcile bank and credit card accounts regularly.
  • Provide retail accounting support, including inventory tracking, cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) allocations, and POS system integration.
  • Assist with financial nuances of jewelry sales, returns, and vendor purchasing.
  • Utilize Bill.com to process vendor payments efficiently and support payroll administration.
  • Contribute to reporting and financial analysis tasks, including generating financial statements and identifying trends for cost optimization or revenue improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in a retail or e-commerce setting.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and experience using Bill.com is required.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
