About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial transactions of a fast-paced retail and e-commerce business in the beauty and personal care industry. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience working in a retail environment with high transaction volume. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, assisting with cash flow visibility, and supporting the finance team with compliance and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and reconcile daily
  • Support payroll processing by ensuring accuracy of timesheets and leave records (in collaboration with HR/payroll provider)
  • Maintain and update general ledger and journals
  • Ensure all financial records comply with regulatory and company standards
  • Prepare Daily and Weekly Reports for the E-Commerce and Retail Team.

Requirements

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a retail or e-commerce environment
  • Proficient in accounting software Xero and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards, payroll, and tax compliance
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team

Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV or higher in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or related field
