Accounting Role Overview

The position of Financial Accountant is a vital component in the organizational structure of any company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records with timely processing of journal entries.
  • Ensure the completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations in an efficient and organized manner, supported by relevant documentation for all key stakeholders.
  • Provide assistance during the external audit process as well as fulfill ad-hoc tasks as required.
  • Contribute to the development of a high-performance work environment through active participation in cross-functional projects.
  • Act in the best interest of the organization by ensuring the safety and well-being of self and others, promoting a secure working environment.

For this role, we are seeking a candidate who holds a degree-level qualification in Accounting or Commerce, with a minimum of 2-4 years' experience in accounting. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of accounting principles and standards (AASB/IFRS) and advanced Microsoft Office skills. Proficiency in SAP or similar accounting software is also highly valued.

Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are required, accompanied by personal integrity and confidentiality. The successful candidate will be able to interpret financial information and explain it in non-financial terms, with proven report writing skills and ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
