Supply Chain Role Overview

This position involves overseeing the logistics of package imports, warehousing and distribution to customers, ensuring timely delivery and meeting requested ETAs.


Responsibilities
  • The role requires liaison with customers and transport companies for pickup and deliveries to ensure smooth operation.
  • Monitoring import shipments and coordinating with Customs Broker for cargo clearance is a key task.
  • Negotiating with suppliers and third-party service providers to develop logistics partners and maintain relationships is essential.
  • Ensuring costs related to logistics are captured in the system by raising purchase orders in a timely manner.
  • Working with supplier networks to optimize warehouse costs, improve availability, lead times, delivery schedules and other factors.
  • Inbound Logistics: Monitoring container status via carrier portals and ensuring timely arrival of product and requested ETAs; downloading shipping documents from the portal and sending them to the Broker and warehouses at least 14 days prior to the ETA; coordinating with the Customs Broker to ensure legislative requirements are met; applying for Import permits and ensuring they are obtained promptly.
  • Inventory Management: Stock replenishment including placing STOs; working with Global Logistics and Asia logistics team to ensure correct shipping documents are received; investigating stock variances and raising claims against warehouses and freight forwarders when required; ensuring appropriate stock availability and service levels to all customers; managing annual stocktake at PH Warehouse.
  • Addressing internal and external customer complaints promptly to ensure zero loss of business due to logistics issues; addressing complaints regarding logistics issues within the Issues Management Tool to view, track and improve service levels and customer satisfaction.
  • Adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related supply chain experience in logistics (multi-national experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of effective logistics solutions, order fulfillment processes, foreign trade and import/export regulations.
  • Proficient in SAP applications and Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated negotiating skills working with logistics service contracts and operating agreements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interdepartmental and external coordination to support growth strategy.
  • Fluent in English.
