Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Contracts Engineer to join our Project Services Group in Manila. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract law and experience in managing pre-award and post-award contract activities.

The role involves undertaking various contract management tasks, including conducting pre-qualification processes, developing Request for Tender documents, managing the tender process, receiving and evaluating tenders, negotiating commercial and technical deviations, and preparing Recommendation for Award documents.

In post-award contract management, you will be responsible for managing and administering contractual deliverables, contractual correspondence, site instructions, contract variations, backcharges, subcontractors, monthly progress payment claims, and contract close out process and documentation.

You will also develop and maintain up-to-date contract management activity registers, plan, coordinate, monitor, and report on contract management activities, collate and compile project reporting requirements, and ensure that contract management activities are performed to a consistently high standard.

Additionally, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet project objectives, register and file relevant contract management documentation, comply with procedures, processes, project-specific management plans, project schedules, and budgets, suggest methods to improve operational efficiency within the contract team, and contribute to the delivery of improvement initiatives that support business priorities for continuous improvement.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required, along with knowledge and experience in contract law.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role is preferred, with a strong track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Good organizational and time management skills are necessary, as well as personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment.
  • Solid technical aptitude, analytical, and problem-solving skills are also required.
