Are you a sales professional looking to advance your career in business development? Do you have experience working with financial services offerings and Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs)? We are seeking a skilled Business Development Consultant to join our team.
">">Job DescriptionOur ideal candidate will be responsible for representing Orion in its sales efforts to promote its services to RIAs. This position will require collaboration with sales management in the development, implementation, and execution of territory sales plans, resulting in increased sales and retention of assets. The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
- Representing Orion and its products knowledgeably and effectively to advisors, enabling them to clearly identify benefits relative to competitors.
- Developing new revenue opportunities and capitalizing on referrals to increase sales in the territory.
- Ensuring receipt of excellent customer service with RIA firms and their advisors.
- Creating and maintaining critical contact relationships with firms involved in the distribution to the same market for referrals or institutional clients.
- Monitoring and analyzing daily/weekly/quarterly sales goals and activity reports.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, leadership skills, and strong sales skills, including negotiation, persuasion, up-selling, closing, follow-up, relationship building, and networking. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a field-based territory sales position selling financial services offerings to RIAs is required.

- Excellent knowledge of financial services offerings and company policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to interact, listen, influence, and partner with high-level decision-makers.
- Leadership skills to provide a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork, motivation, efficiency, and maximum utilization of staff skills.
- Strong sales skills, including negotiation, persuasion, up-selling, closing, follow-up, relationship building, and networking.
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
