Accounts Receivable Officer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable professional to process accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving improvement by identifying opportunities to refine policies and recommend smarter processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, experience with AR functions including collections, invoicing, and reconciliations, and knowledge of Australian accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Drive improvement by spotting opportunities to refine policies and recommend smarter processes.
  • Handle sensitive financial information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Support both internal and external audits with confidence.
  • Prepare and process cash receipts seamlessly.
  • Perform timely, accurate account reconciliations.
  • Manage collection efforts and related functions to keep everything on track.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting (or related field) and 1–3 years of hands-on Accounts Receivable experience.
  • Knowledge of Australian accounting processes and a solid grounding in basic accounting principles.
  • Experience with accounting systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Navision.
  • Proven skills in Microsoft Office, with advanced know-how in Excel.
  • Ability to analyze large sets of data and spot what others might miss.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
