Job Overview

The Assistant Bid Writer role involves working collaboratively with internal departments to support the bid team in researching, drafting, and submitting high-quality proposals tailored to win contracts.

This position requires a strong understanding of market trends, client needs, and company strengths to tailor bid content effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Content Development: Assist in drafting and editing responses to Invitations to Tender, ensuring accurate address of client needs and highlighting company strengths.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with colleagues across departments to collect information for proposals, incorporate stakeholder feedback into bid documentation, and maintain a database of prior bids and responses for future use.
  • Compliance and Quality Control: Proofread all bid documents for grammatical accuracy and adherence to client specifications, ensure proposals comply with corporate branding and quality standards.
  • Research and Information Gathering: Conduct market and client research to shape tender responses effectively, track and report on bid progress against set timelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and bid management tools.
  • Experience or strong knowledge in bid writing, marketing, or project planning.
