Clinical Outreach Specialist

About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced systems-minded professional to own and run our site outreach campaigns. As a Clinical Outreach Specialist, you'll be responsible for designing and executing doctor outreach campaigns for clinical trial site activation.

  • Designing and executing targeted outreach campaigns to activate clinical trial sites
  • Identifying key doctors using various tools like Google Search, NPI Registry, Definitive Healthcare, etc.
  • Utilizing clinical judgment and U.S. standard of care research to identify the right specialists and exclude poor fits
  • Building targeting frameworks using CPT, ICD-10, and claims logic
  • Ensuring list quality, specialty match, and targeting precision before campaign launch
  • Creating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and research playbooks to standardize repeatable outreach
  • Writing and iterating outreach emails that drive replies
  • Coaching outreach coordinators and improving their skills
  • Running email sequences in Mixmax or similar tools
  • Triaging replies and handing off qualified leads to the PM or Medical Director
  • Tracking outreach performance in Airtable or CRM

The ideal candidate has experience running high-context outreach campaigns in healthcare, clinical research, or healthtech.

They should understand how doctors work, including specialties, referrals, and the U.S. healthcare system.

Additionally, they'll manage junior staff, improve execution systems, and identify failure patterns early.

Tools used include Airtable, Mixmax, ChatGPT, Google Search/NPI Registry/Definitive Healthcare, Seamless.AI/Apollo, Google Sheets, Notion, Slack, and Salesforce.

Success will be measured by launching clean campaigns, improving list accuracy and quality control, and optimizing response rates.
