Job Title: Senior AU Tax Accountant

About the Role:

The Senior Accountant will be working closely with clients to support their businesses and manage various tasks, including processing financial statements for lodgement, preparing Business Activity Statements and Installment Activity Statements, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing private tax returns.

Responsibilities:
  • Process up to Trial Balance stage and prepare financial statements for lodgement.
  • Prepare Business Activity Statements and Installment Activity Statements for lodgement.
  • Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts and preparing a trial balance.
  • Prepare private tax returns, trust, partnership tax returns, and End of year compliance jobs.
  • Experienced in Division 7a loans.
  • Complete required tax reporting in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and update tax provision schedules.
  • Research and correct process errors that caused incorrect tax filings and negotiate with tax authorities over tax payment issues.
Requirements:

We are looking for an A-star individual who is passionate and competent in accounting and taxation, with the following qualifications:

  • Graduate of Accountancy or Accounting Technology; Advantage if CPA licensed.
  • Total of more than 4 years accounting and tax experience wherein 4+ year of experiences in AU tax accounting.
  • Leadership capabilities and interested in leading the team in the future.
  • Advantage if with experiences in an accounting/ audit firm.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Attentive to details and organized.
  • Good time management skills.
