The Customer Development Manager role is responsible for achieving sales targets through excellence in the 5Ps execution at the direct point of sale. This includes developing and supporting partnerships between customers and service providers, as well as providing feedback on the in-store environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Monitor sales and distribution performance, and take timely action to drive continuous improvement.
- Engage customers to build our brands through strong alignment, selling and negotiation.
- Visit stores regularly to identify areas of improvement.
- Cross-functionally develop and deliver commercial strategies and plans based on a deep understanding of our shoppers and categories.
- Lead development of rolling business plans covering sales, volume, and profitability at product-group/sku level, incorporating customer objectives and strategy.
- Track compliance of 5P activity execution against established agreements/objectives, and monitor interim performance of 5P activities to ensure flawless execution.
- Collect information on the external environment during the promotion period.
- Analyze post-evaluation results compared to pre-evaluation analysis, explaining any potential differences.
- Incorporate learning from post-evaluation analyses into future customer/retailer strategy.
What we're looking for...
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Consumer Goods/Customer Management of key accounts.
- Strong drive to achieve results.
- Leadership skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical skills.
- Business acumen.
- Ability to work well under pressure & within limited time frame.
- Active and results-driven individual with good negotiation skills and strong personality.
