Financial Operations Lead

The ideal candidate will lead the finance and accounting functions for our group of companies. This role is responsible for managing month-end close processes, preparing and filing sales taxes, computing commissions, and ensuring timely financial statement issuance.

This position requires strong knowledge of US GAAP and multi-state sales/use tax regulations. The successful candidate will have experience supervising accounting staff and hands-on reconciliation expertise. Additionally, proficiency in NetSuite and QuickBooks is essential for this role.

  • Manage month-end close for multiple entities
  • Prepare and file multi-state sales taxes (TX, GA, FL, LA)
  • Compute sales commissions and ensure accuracy/timeliness
  • Process payroll bi-monthly
  • Issue timely financial statements and management reports
  • Lead cash flow planning, forecasting, and reporting to leadership
  • Supervise AR/AP (1 AR and 1 AP clerk)
  • Maintain reconciliations (bank, credit card, accruals, deposits)
  • Participate in leadership meetings and maintain company scorecard metrics
  • Oversee compliance filings (property tax renditions, US income tax coordination)
  • Support lender and bank communications
  • Drive process improvement in NetSuite, especially around landed cost postings and reconciliations
