Accountant Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Accountant to join our remote team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for processing financial transactions, reconciliations, and preparing financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices, apply payments, and reconcile transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform soft reconciliations weekly and hard reconciliations monthly, ensuring accuracy in coding and matching transactions.
  • Prepare and reconcile schedules for various accounts such as AR, AP, payroll accruals, loans, and fixed assets.
  • Assist in managing cash flow by monitoring AP closely and ensuring available cash aligns with financial obligations.
  • Map accounts, sync data, and generate financial reports using templates.
  • Utilize accounting software for bank feeds, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable processing, generating reports, and posting journal entries.
  • Monitor and organize incoming financial documents, ensuring accurate data entry and response handling.
  • Process payroll transactions across multiple entities and record payroll journal entries accurately.
  • Track, manage, and update all physical or digital assets to ensure accurate stock levels.

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of accounting or finance experience doing month-end close processes, bank reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills required for analysing transactions and being able to switch between multiple clients.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team.
