Accountant Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill an Accountant position. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with their accounting needs, including preparing financial statements and tax returns.

This is a mid-senior level position that requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. You will work closely with our clients to understand their financial requirements and provide them with expert advice and guidance.

  • Assist clients with meeting their accounting goals and objectives.
  • Use client accounting software to extract reports and data, and provide training to clients in the use of these programs.
  • Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and activity statements for sole traders, partnerships, trusts, and companies.
  • Remain current with tax law changes and interpret and understand tax law.
Your Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Accounting or similar relevant qualification.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new software, such as Xero, MYOB, and/or QuickBooks.
  • Demonstration of energy and drive, positive attitude, interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
