Accounting Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team. You will work from home and contribute to the financial health of our business.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accuracy, compliance, and clarity in financial records. This includes preparing and recording journal entries, reconciling bank accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

You will also help prepare financial statements and supporting documentation, support internal and external audits, and perform variance analysis to explain key fluctuations.

In addition, you will assist with accounts payable and receivable functions as needed, maintain well-organized and accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are detail-oriented, analytical, and accurate with numbers. We value experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar software, as well as proficiency in Excel (XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas).

About the Role

  • Prepare and record journal entries and general ledger transactions
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Help prepare financial statements and supporting documentation
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Perform variance analysis and explain key fluctuations
  • Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
  • Maintain well-organized and accurate financial records

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of accounting experience (internships welcome)
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and accurate with numbers
  • Understanding of GAAP and accounting workflows
  • Proficient in Excel (XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas)
  • Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar software
  • Professional English communication (written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage time, tasks, and deadlines in a remote setup
  • Problem-solving mindset and willingness to improve systems
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, SharePoint, and related tools
