Production Supervisor Job Description

The role of a Production Supervisor is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of production activities. This position plays a key part in overseeing daily production operations and creating schedules to guarantee policy adherence.

  • Conduct performance evaluations regularly and implement improvement programs for maximum productivity.
  • Implement corrective actions promptly when team issues arise and provide ongoing support according to operational standards.
  • Monitor attendance records through daily production reports and database encoding to maintain accuracy.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, striving for zero lost-time incidents.
  • Prepare and submit management reports on a weekly and monthly basis, incorporating relevant data and analysis.

Functional Scope:

  • Achieve targeted volume percentages and production efficiency.
  • Supervise daily production activities and prepare schedules to ensure policy compliance.
  • Validate line manpower to meet approved Time and Motion Study (TMS) goals and production efficiency objectives.
  • Supervise and orient production personnel for efficient operations.
  • Identify team issues and provide ongoing support according to operating standards.
  • Check materials and finished goods for quality and accuracy against project mock-ups.
  • Conduct line leader training to enhance leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Address production bottlenecks reported by line leaders and report to appropriate authorities.
  • Review staff performance periodically and implement programs for optimal performance.
  • Ensure accurate recording of attendance via daily production reports and database encoding.
  • Ensure safety policies are followed, aiming for Zero Lost Time Incidents.
  • Prepares and submits weekly and monthly management reports with necessary data and analysis.
  • All reports are approved by the department or business unit head.
  • Defines and documents process requirements for automation updates or revisions.
  • Adheres fully to the company's discipline code.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned by the WPO Head or Head of Operations.

Administrative Scope:

  • Ensure team members are knowledgeable of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Act as a trainer and coach to maximize team efficiency and results.
  • Update the team on new directives, regulations, and policies.
  • Maintain proper work decorum, attire, and ethics among team members.
  • Ensure punctuality, attendance, and positive work attitude.
  • Foster good interpersonal relationships within the team.
  • Communicate company policies and discipline standards clearly.
  • Manage team morale and motivation.
  • Handle communications across the organization, regulators, and clients as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments and management for shared goals.
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals and discuss improvement plans.
  • Hold monthly team meetings with documented minutes and action points.
  • Allocate time for urgent meetings and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Maintain professionalism at all times.
  • Monitor social media and internet usage during work hours, ensuring compliance.
  • Check Wi-Fi connectivity and report issues to IT.
  • Ensure work-related use of messaging apps during work hours.
